Why Denver RV Roofs Fail Early
Lap sealant that lasts seven years at sea level often cracks in three or four on the Front Range. UV at 5,280 ft is roughly 25% more intense, daily temperature swings of 40Β° work every seam, and one good hailstorm can crater a whole roofline of plastic fittings. An annual roof inspection β every spring, after hail season starts β is the cheapest thing you can do for your rig. We inspect during any mobile visit for a small add-on.
The real cost of a leak: water that gets past the roof doesn't just stain the ceiling β it soaks into wall framing and delaminates fiberglass sidewalls. A $300 reseal prevents the four-figure delamination and body repairs we get called for a year later.
Insurance Hail Claims
After a Denver hail event, insurers expect documented damage. We photograph and write up roof damage during inspection, repair what's approved, and replace fittings with hail-rated covers where they exist β all without you moving the RV out of storage.
