- Fresh, gray & black tanks drained — plus low-point drains opened and cleared
- Lines blown out with compressed air — regulated pressure so fittings aren't damaged
- RV antifreeze through every fixture — faucets, shower, toilet, outdoor spray port, washer hookups, and ice maker lines
- P-traps and drains protected — antifreeze where standing water hides
- Written checklist left with the rig — so spring de-winterization has no surprises
When to Winterize in Denver
Denver's average first freeze lands in early-to-mid October, but hard freezes have arrived in September. If the RV is done for the season, don't gamble on the forecast — an unheated rig freezes the first cold night, not the first cold week. Book by late September and it's off your mind. Still camping into fall? We can winterize between trips and de-winterize before the next one; with a blow-out method it's quick in both directions.
The math: mobile winterization costs less than a single burst fitting repair — and far less than the water pump, water heater tank, and toilet valve that typically fail together after one missed freeze.
Spring De-Winterization & Systems Check
In April and May we flush the antifreeze, sanitize the fresh water system, restore the water heater bypass, and pressure-test for leaks that opened over winter. Add a systems check — propane appliances, battery health, roof seals after hail season — and the rig is genuinely trip-ready, not just "probably fine."
